The Co-operative Development Foundation of Canada (CDF) brings life changing opportunities where they are most needed.
Children, women and men in the developing world are building pathways out of poverty with the encouragement and support of CDF.
We do this in partnership with the Canadian Co-operative Association (CCA) and its network of expert volunteers – people who know what it takes to grow a successful co-operative enterprise.
Results are tangible. Change is long term.
Our Mission
Our mission is to raise funds in support of co-operative and credit union development programming to reduce global poverty delivered in partnership with the Canadian Co-operative Association (CCA).
Our Vision
Our Vision: By 2012, raise $1.5 million annually primarily in support of the CCA International Development Program, while maintaining supplemental funding for domestic co-operative poverty reduction programming.
CDF raises money in order to:
- Promote and advance development and education as guided by the seven co-operative principles
- Ensure that all money raised goes directly to programs created for the poverty relief through community empowerment development
- Co-operate with organizations and governments who believe in the same work in order to better advance and secure our projects
